Chimney Renovation and Flue Repair

Hello! I am looking for a certified and experienced handyman for a major chimney renovation and flue repair in the Aizkraukle region. Currently, water (and condensate) is leaking around the chimney, and the masonry above the roof level is in critical condition – bricks are crumbling, the mortar has washed out, and the top of the chimney is severely cracked, as shown in the attached photos. The chimney is currently connected to a pellet boiler, which has been operating without a flue. This has caused the formation of aggressive condensate, which has literally eaten away and destroyed the internal brick masonry. Required work: Rebuilding: Demolition of the upper part of the chimney above the roof level down to a safe masonry layer and complete reconstruction using full clay bricks and an appropriate outdoor mortar mix. Flue installation: Insertion of a suitable acid and moisture-resistant stainless steel flue throughout the pellet boiler. Roof connection: Creation of new, high-quality sheet metal flashing around the chimney to completely prevent rainwater from running down the chimney's base. Chimney cap: Installation of a chimney cap (deflector) to protect the flue from precipitation and debris.
