ProHelp is available in Latvian, Russian, and English. You can change the interface language from the app's settings without creating a new account or changing your phone's general language. The selection affects navigation labels, buttons, forms, confirmations, and other built-in interface text.
Changing this preference does not translate text written by users. Job descriptions, profile biographies, reviews, and chat messages remain in the language in which their authors wrote them. This distinction is useful when a menu changes language but a marketplace post does not.
Change the language in Settings
- Open ProHelp and go to your profile area.
- Open Settings.
- Find the app preferences section and choose Language.
- Select Latvian, Russian, or English.
- Return to the previous screen and check that the interface labels have changed.
The preference is applied through the app's language selector. You should not need to sign out, verify your phone again, reinstall ProHelp, or build a second profile. Your jobs, applications, chats, reviews, and account details stay attached to the same account.
A language change affects ProHelp's own interface. It does not automatically translate customer or professional content, and it does not change agreements already made in chat.
Pick the best language for your use
Choose whichever interface language makes actions and safety confirmations easiest to understand. You can still read and reply to posts written in another language. If a job description is unclear, ask the author for clarification in chat rather than relying on assumptions or an automatic translation outside ProHelp.
Professionals may find it helpful to write their bio in the language most customers in their working area understand, or to include short sections in more than one language. Keep it readable and do not repeat long keyword lists. Customers should describe the actual task clearly, including location, timing, measurements, and relevant constraints, regardless of the interface language.
What stays unchanged
Changing language is a display preference, not an account migration. It does not alter:
- your verified phone number or authentication;
- your public handle, name, bio, or photos;
- job status, budget, location, or applications;
- chat history and attachments;
- reviews, ratings, and completed-job information;
- notification permission in the phone's system settings.
The labels surrounding those items change, while the stored user content remains intact. If you are helping somebody else navigate the app, first check which interface language they selected so button names match what they see.
Language on the support website
The ProHelp support pages also have Latvian, Russian, and English versions. Choose the locale offered by the website to read instructions in the same language as the app. Article links may use the same topic and article address structure while the visible title and text are localized.
When sharing a support article, make sure the recipient opens the appropriate language version. Screens and exact wording can evolve with app updates, but the route through Profile and Settings remains the important part of this procedure.
If the selected language does not appear
First return to Settings and confirm that the intended option is selected. Navigate to another screen; an already open dialog may keep its old text until it is closed. If only a job, bio, review, or chat remains unchanged, that is expected because it was written by another user.
If built-in buttons still show the previous language throughout the app, close ProHelp completely and reopen it. Check the app store for an update. On a persistent problem, record which language was selected and which screen failed to update, then contact support with a screenshot that contains no private conversation or account information.
Do not reinstall as the first troubleshooting step. Reopening and updating are less disruptive. If you do reinstall, you will need access to the registered phone number to receive a fresh sign-in code, although your server-stored account content should remain associated with that account.
