Create your account

Creating a ProHelp account takes only a phone number and a short SMS confirmation. ProHelp uses passwordless sign-in, so there is no password to create, remember, or reset. The same sign-in screen handles both new and returning users: enter your number, confirm the code, and the app determines whether to open your existing account or continue with profile setup.

Before you begin

Install ProHelp on a phone that can receive text messages. Check that the phone number is active and that you know its correct country code. A Latvian number normally starts with +371, but the country selector lets you choose another supported calling code. Enter the full mobile number rather than a local shorthand.

You also need a working internet connection. The code arrives by SMS, but the app must be online to request and verify it. If mobile data is unreliable, connect to a trusted Wi-Fi network before starting.

A verified phone number confirms that you control that number. It is not an identity, qualification, or background check. Always review profiles and agree job details carefully.

Create the account step by step

  1. Open ProHelp and choose the sign-in or account option.
  2. Select the correct country and enter your phone number.
  3. Review the number before continuing. A wrong digit sends the code to somebody else or causes the request to fail.
  4. Ask ProHelp to send the SMS code.
  5. Enter the six digits shown in the message. The app can continue as soon as the complete code is accepted.
  6. If you are new, complete the profile screen with your name and public handle. Both must contain at least three characters.
  7. Save the profile to enter the app.

New users cannot simply dismiss the initial profile form and continue with an empty profile. This prevents completely blank accounts from appearing in conversations. You can add more detail immediately or return later to edit your profile.

What information is public

Your phone number is used for authentication and is not presented as your public profile name. Other users see the name and handle you choose, plus any optional photo, cover image, bio, service categories, or portfolio items you add. Choose a handle that is easy to recognize and appropriate for a public services marketplace.

Use accurate information. A clear photo and short description help professionals understand who is contacting them, while service categories and portfolio photos are especially useful if you also plan to apply for work. Never put passwords, payment card details, personal identity numbers, or private access codes in a bio.

Returning to your account

The next time you need to sign in, use the same phone number. ProHelp sends a fresh code rather than asking for a password. A code is temporary and should only be entered in the official app. Do not forward it to a customer, professional, or anyone claiming they need it to confirm a job.

Changing phones does not require inventing a new profile as long as you still control the registered number. Install the app on the new device and complete the same SMS flow. If you no longer have access to that number, do not create several duplicate profiles; contact support and explain what changed.

If account creation does not work

First confirm the country code, number, internet connection, and SMS reception. Wait until the resend timer finishes before requesting another message. Repeated taps do not make delivery faster and can leave you looking at an older code. Use the newest code received.

If the profile form rejects your details, make sure the name and handle each have at least three characters. The handle accepts letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores; spaces and other symbols are removed. If a chosen handle is already unavailable, try a distinct variation that still represents you.

If the app shows a persistent error, close and reopen it, check for an update, and try once more on a stable network. Contact ProHelp support with the approximate time, country code, and visible error message, but never include the SMS code itself.
