Verification code not arriving

Most ProHelp verification messages arrive quickly, but delivery can be delayed by number formatting, weak mobile signal, carrier filtering, roaming, or repeated requests. The sign-in screen sends a six-digit SMS code and starts a 60-second resend countdown. Work through the checks below before requesting several new messages.

Check the phone number first

Return to the number entry screen and read the entire international number. Confirm the selected country and every digit. For example, Latvia uses +371; do not type that prefix twice. Make sure the number belongs to a device or service that can receive ordinary SMS messages.

If the number is wrong, correct it and request one new code. Resending from the code screen will keep using the number originally submitted, so it cannot fix a typing error by itself.

Never share a verification code with support, a customer, or a professional. The code grants access to your account; it is not needed to confirm a job or payment.

Wait and resend once

Keep the verification screen open and wait for the countdown to reach zero. The Resend action becomes available after 60 seconds. Tap it once, then allow time for the new message to travel through the carrier network.

When more than one message arrives, enter the newest code. Old and new messages can arrive out of order after a network delay, and an earlier code may no longer work. Repeatedly requesting messages makes this confusion more likely and may cause temporary rate limits, so pause rather than tapping again and again.

Check the phone and carrier

Confirm that airplane mode is off and the phone shows a mobile-network signal. Receiving an SMS depends on the carrier connection even if ProHelp itself is using Wi-Fi. Toggle airplane mode briefly or restart the phone to re-register with the network.

Look in spam, blocked-sender, or filtered-message folders if your SMS app provides them. Check that the inbox is not full and that service or short-code messages are allowed. Dual-SIM users should confirm the entered number matches an active SIM. When travelling, make sure roaming and inbound SMS work on the registered line.

If other service messages are also missing, contact the mobile carrier. Ask whether automated authentication messages are blocked and whether there is an outage. ProHelp cannot override a carrier-level block from inside the app.

Check ProHelp's connection

The app needs internet access to request and verify a code. If the request shows an error, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, disable a problematic VPN temporarily, and try again. Update ProHelp through the official app store if a newer version is available. Avoid uninstalling until you have confirmed that you still control the phone number needed to sign back in.

If the code arrives but is rejected, carefully enter all six digits from the latest message. Remove spaces or punctuation. Wait for a fresh resend rather than guessing. Codes expire and cannot be reused indefinitely.

When to contact support

Contact ProHelp support if the number is correct, the carrier confirms SMS is working, and multiple well-spaced attempts still produce no message. Include:

  • the country and mobile carrier;
  • the approximate time and time zone of the latest attempt;
  • whether the request displayed an error or appeared successful;
  • your app version and phone operating system;
  • a screenshot of the visible error, with the number partly hidden.

Do not include the six-digit code or unrelated personal documents. Support may help identify whether the request reached the authentication service, but cannot promise immediate delivery when a carrier is delaying messages.

Once access is restored, keep your registered number active. If you plan to change or lose it, seek help before the old SIM is disconnected. Creating duplicate profiles can split your jobs, messages, and reviews and is not a reliable recovery method.
