ProHelp signs users in by verifying access to a phone number. After you enter your number, the app sends a temporary six-digit code by SMS. Entering that code completes authentication without a password. The process is used for both account creation and later sign-ins, which keeps the experience simple while preventing a profile from being opened with only a guessed phone number.
Enter the number correctly
Start with the country selector. It controls the international calling code, so check it even if the flag already looks familiar. Then enter the mobile number and review every digit. A number formatted for Latvia begins with +371; numbers from other countries need their own code. Do not add a second country code inside the number field.
The app checks whether the number has a valid phone-number shape before sending. That check cannot tell whether the number belongs to you, is currently active, or can receive SMS, so verify those points yourself.
Phone verification proves control of a number at that moment. It does not confirm a person's legal identity, trade qualifications, insurance, or trustworthiness.
Complete SMS verification
- Submit the correctly formatted phone number.
- Keep the verification screen open while the message arrives.
- Find the newest ProHelp sign-in message in your SMS app.
- Type its six digits into the code boxes in the same order.
- Wait for the app to confirm the code and continue.
Codes are short-lived security credentials. Only enter one in the official ProHelp sign-in screen. ProHelp users do not need your code to send an application, discuss a job, receive a review, or arrange payment. Anyone asking you to read or forward it is trying to access your account.
Resending a code
The resend control has a 60-second cooldown. While it counts down, the button stays unavailable. This delay limits accidental repeat requests and gives mobile networks time to deliver the original message. When the countdown ends, use Resend once if nothing has arrived.
After requesting a new message, use the newest code. An earlier code may no longer be accepted. Avoid making many requests in a row: messages can arrive out of order, which makes it difficult to identify the current code and may trigger temporary provider limits.
If you notice an incorrect phone number on the code screen, return to the previous step and correct the number rather than repeatedly resending to the wrong destination.
Verification and your privacy
The phone number is an authentication identifier, not the display name other customers or professionals use to recognize you. Your public profile is based on the name, handle, photo, bio, categories, and portfolio details you choose to add. Keep the phone's lock screen and SMS inbox secure because somebody who can read your sign-in message may be able to enter your account.
On a shared device, sign out when finished and do not allow another person to register their profile using your number. One person should use one accurate account rather than maintaining duplicates.
Common verification problems
If the message is delayed, check signal strength, airplane mode, blocked or filtered SMS, and whether your mobile plan can receive service messages. Restarting the phone can help it reconnect to the mobile network. If you are abroad, confirm that roaming and inbound SMS are available with your carrier.
For an “incorrect” or “expired” code, clear the code boxes and enter the latest six digits carefully. Do not add spaces. If several messages arrived, compare their times and select the newest. Once the resend countdown finishes, request one fresh code and wait for it.
If the request itself fails, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data and check for a ProHelp update. Persistent trouble can come from the carrier, the authentication provider, or incorrect number formatting. Contact support with your country, carrier, approximate attempt time, and a screenshot of the error with sensitive details hidden. Never send support the verification code.
