Posting a job on ProHelp tells local professionals what you need and gives them a place to apply. The form is intentionally simple: only the description is required. Photos, location, and an estimated budget are optional, but useful detail can reduce follow-up questions and help suitable professionals decide whether to contact you.
Prepare the details
Before opening the form, write down the result you want, the approximate location, any timing constraint, and facts that affect the work. Measurements, materials, access, current condition, and whether you need labour only or materials supplied can all matter. Do not publish a precise apartment number, door code, identity document, phone number, or payment details in a public post.
Take clear photos if the task is easier to understand visually. Photograph the relevant object or area from a useful distance and add a closer view of damage or connections. Only upload images you are allowed to share.
A ProHelp budget is a guide, not a checkout or binding final price. Agree the scope, price, timing, and payment directly with the professional before work starts.
Submit the job
- Sign in and open the add-job tab or + action.
- Enter a clear description. This is the only required field.
- Use the photo tile to take a picture or select one or more images from the library.
- Add a location that is specific enough for travel planning but safe for a public listing.
- Enter an estimated budget or select a preset such as €50, €100, €250, €500, or €1000+.
- Review the post and submit it.
- Wait for the success message, then optionally enable notifications so application updates are easier to notice.
The app uploads selected images before creating the submission. Keep it open on a stable connection until the confirmation appears. Leaving during upload can interrupt the process.
What happens after submission
The job is sent through automated checks before it becomes a normal live listing. Review looks at the text and, when present, whether images are suitable and reasonably connected to the described task. This protects marketplace quality, but there is no guaranteed publication time. A job may be approved, rejected, or require attention depending on the result.
Once live, professionals can find the job and apply. Their application may include a message and proposed price. Compare the profile, relevant categories, rating, reviews, completed work, portfolio, and the specifics of the proposal. Use chat to clarify details; posting does not automatically hire anyone.
Phone verification confirms access to an account's number, not a person's identity or qualifications. Apply the same practical checks you would use when hiring elsewhere.
Make the first post effective
Use a direct opening such as “Replace a leaking kitchen tap in Riga” rather than “Need help.” Explain what is happening now, the desired outcome, and any important limit. If you do not know the technical diagnosis, describe symptoms rather than guessing. Professionals can ask informed questions.
Set a realistic estimate when you can, but say what it includes. If the amount is uncertain, leave it blank and ask applicants to quote after discussing the details. ProHelp does not take commission and does not hold or process job payment; the customer and professional settle directly.
If the job will not submit
An empty or whitespace-only description keeps submission unavailable. Add meaningful text and try again. If a photo upload fails, remove the problematic image, check camera or library permission, and retry with a stable connection. Location and budget can be left empty, so they should not prevent an otherwise valid submission.
For an estimate, enter digits rather than words or currency symbols. If the app reports a general error, reopen the form, check for an update, and try once more. Preserve a copy of a long description before troubleshooting.
If the job remains under review, avoid posting several duplicates. If it is rejected, revise anything irrelevant, unsafe, misleading, or unclear before trying again. Contact support with the approximate submission time and visible status when the result appears incorrect; publication timing cannot be promised.
